Representatives of the NBC Sports Group asked The Sound Palace to record a narration by actor Tom Selleck for the upcoming Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo. The piece, to be aired during the prime time telecast of the summer games, concerns the “shared pastime” of baseball in Japan.  Mr. Selleck was the perfect choice as he not only starred in the movie “Mr. Baseball” (about a major league baseball player traded to a Japanese team) but his voice is that of a current day Walter Conkrite, both reassuring and believable.
