We recorded a classical piece today using our Yamaha GC-1 baby grand piano. We wanted a few sound options during mixdown so we set up several sets of microphones as seen in this photo:
-Neumann U87i as mono microphone
-Pair of AKG 414’s in X/Y configuration
-SRM-1 Stereo Ribbon Microphone in Blumlein configuration
-Lewitt LCT 040 (Located under the piano)
